Teach for America Buffalo is Recruiting

Mon, Jan 12th 2015 04:00 pm

Teach for America Buffalo is a movement to recruit, prepare and support leaders to teach the highest need subject areas in the highest need schools in the city of Buffalo. Teach for America's mission in Buffalo is to prioritize improving student outcomes by building agency in corps members (teachers) so they, in turn, build agency in their students - Buffalo's future leaders.

Katie Campos, executive director for Teach for America Buffalo, is actively recruiting local leaders, who know and love our city and our students; who have grown up in the same neighborhoods; and who share the same background, to apply for Teach for America (TFA) positions for the 2015-16 school year.   TFA is looking to engage leaders who have a deep belief in the potential of all kids and a commitment to do whatever it takes to help them grow.  TFA is seeking leaders who demonstrate perseverance, organizational ability, critical thinking and the ability to adjust quickly in demanding situations.

The last deadline to apply to Teach for America Buffalo is January 30th.

If you or someone you know is interested in TFA, please check out the website at www.teachforamerica.org  to see if you qualify.  If you would like more information please attend the Applicant Info Session at the United Way at 6pm on January 14.
