The Garman Family Foundation, administered by the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo, has awarded Read to Succeed Buffalo (RTSB) with $33,638 in funding for its Community Alignment Reading Excellence (CARE) Child Care and Preschool programs.

CARE Child Care is a quality improvement literacy infusion program for licensed home child care providers operating in the City of Buffalo.  CARE partners with these professionals over a two-year timeframe, bridging the gap between learning theory and practice, ensuring that children receive the high-quality care and individualized attention they need to be school ready.

“The Garman Family Foundation’s generous contribution to our CARE Child Care programs showcases the importance of the hard work and tireless dedication that goes into preparing our city’s youngest learners” said Anne Ryan, executive director of Read to Succeed Buffalo. “We are so thankful for the Garman Family Foundation and the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo’s recognition and this funding will go a long way in furthering the success of this vital program.”

The Garman Family Foundation is committed to helping organizations that address the psychological, emotional, and social well-being and/or health of individuals with a preference for women, children, and education.
