If you have the need to restrict the availability of certain shipping methods by either specific dates or location, you will need to set up Availability Rules. Availability Rules ensure that specific shipping methods will either be available OR not available during specified dates and/or to specific locations.
A good example of this feature's utilization is to restrict customers outside of your business's country from selecting a more local shipping method. Instead, they would only have the option of international shipping. (You can achieve this on state and county levels as well.)
To create an Availability Rule, access your Shipping Manager via E-Commerce>Configuration>Shipping.
