GOLF EVENT — Read to Succeed Buffalo will once again be the beneficiary of the Buffalo Chapter of the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter Society’s fifth annual golf tournament.

The tournament will be held Monday, Aug. 13, at Transit Valley Country Club, located at 8920 Transit Road.

The event kicks off at 11:30 a.m. with lunch for registered golfers before the 1 p.m. shotgun start for the tournament, which is a four-person scramble. After the tournament, golfers and guests are invited to enjoy a cocktail hour and dinner. There will also be basket raffles and a silent auction open for bidding throughout the day. Gently used or new children’s books will be collected to donate to RTSB participants.

Prospective participants can register as an individual golfer for $175; an individual golfer who is part of a foursome for $168.75; or as a complete foursome for $675. Included in the registration fee are 18 holes of golf, a hole-in-one contest, as well as lunch before the event and dinner following.
