Read to Succeed Buffalo launches a free book distribution program at 11 a.m. today at its offices at 392 Pearl St. The program is designed to ensure young children in one East Side neighborhood will have books of their very own. The event will officially launch Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, a program that sends an age-appropriate book every month to a registered child until age five. The event will include a reading of "The Little Engine That Could" and distribution of the book to 30 children ages six months to four years. Future books are sent monthly through the mail until the child's fifth birthday or until they no longer live in the 14215 Zip code.* * *
